By all accounts, LoveFest 2022 proved to be the biggest and best LoveFest to date!

With over 350 community members in attendance throughout the day, the production featured a variety of entertainment reflective of the diversity within our community and intentionally addressing the mind, body and soul. This included a spiritual worship service (led by Rev. Don Abram), talent competition (hosted by Jae Rice), drag review (hosted by Mz. Ruff N Stuff), mini-ball (with Legendary Kentrele Gorgeous Gucci as commentator) and, for the first time ever, a "Kink Room" powered by the Black leathermen of Onyx (featuring a variety of kink/fetish demonstrations that provided education about how to protect oneself and partners from HIV, STIs and MPV). The Community Health Village, organized by Alliance Care 360, offered free HIV/STI screenings and linkage to care, as well as monkeypox testing and vaccination. Walgreens was also onsite to provide both flu and COVID-19 vaccinations.

Huge thanks to everyone who came out to enjoy the day with us and to all of our sponsors for helping to make it happen.

And donations in support of the work of the Chicago Black Gay Men’s Caucus are also still very much appreciated and welcome here.
