As we reflect on our first ever 2-day LoveFest, we’d like to take this opportunity to give a special shout out to all of our sponsors/partners and share the professional photo galleries with you!
First, to our sponsors/partners, without whom we could not do this incredible work. Special thank you to the Chicago Department of Public Health (CDPH) and the AIDS Foundation of Chicago (AFC) for not only being premier sponsors of this year’s LoveFest, but for also being directly involved in helping to bring the first ever LoveFest Health Summit and Slam to life!-More specifically, we’d like to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to Mr. Antonio King (CDPH) and Dr. Cynthia Tucker (AFC) for sharing in the vision and in all of the hard work that it took to pull off the Summit and Slam! We are forever grateful to you both for your continued support of CBGMC!
Huge thanks is also due to our Mind, Body and Soul Health and Wellness Circle partners, specifically to the Project Vida family for manning the indoor stage and Alliance Care 360 for holding down the Community Health Village. And we can’t forget Pastor Jamie Frazier and Lighthouse Church of Chicago for the powerful “Sunday Service” that kicked off day 2!
Additionally, we extend thanks to the DuSable Black History Museum and Education Center, the Chicago Center for HIV Elimination, Equality Illinois, Gilead Sciences, Howard Brown Health, Jack’d, Project Wish (at the University of Illinois-Chicago), ViiV Healthcare, Walgreens, the Wellness Homes of Chicago and all of our amazing vendors.—Your contributions and presence at this year’s LoveFest serve to demonstrate to Black gay, bisexual and same gender loving men in Chicago that there is truly a COMMUNITY of providers who are here for US! We sincerely appreciate you all!
Last but certainly not least, we owe a huge debt of gratitude to our friends at Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskey for providing this year’s signature LoveFest cocktail, and Moor’s Beer for cold brews that helped to keep us cool in that 90+ degree heat. In case you aren’t aware, both Uncle Nearest and Moor’s Beer are BLACK OWNED brands that are committed to giving back to our community. As always, we encourage you to drink responsibly (if you drink) and continue to support these brands as they have supported us.
And now for the part that you’ve all been waiting for…the professional photos from LoveFest 2023 (captured by our partners at BM Media Group)!
Please remember that donations in support of the work of the Chicago Black Gay Men’s Caucus are also still very much appreciated and welcome here.
